Communication

Methodology of Screeding Construction
Handling and Storage
Portland cement, sand, and aggregate reinforcement must be ordered from approved sources/suppliers with all appropriate related documents.

Materials
For screed constructions, the following materials must be used.

Screed surface preparation
Any loose or unsuitable material, such as mortar, wood, paint, curing compound, oil, and grease, should be removed from the surface slab.
Ensure that all survey-related work is completed according to the most recent approved drawing. If the surface is smooth, concrete hacking with a chisel or hammering drill is advised, and the dust and loose material should be cleaned with a brush and high-pressure water jet to thoroughly erase the traces of the hacking.
Ensure that waterproofing work is executed in accordance with the most recent approved drawing, project specification, and approved manufacture product data-sheet.

Mixing

Screeding / Pouring Screed
For screed pouring, use the following mixture. ready-to-use (as per approved existing plant and mix design).
Site mix proportion (above site mix ratio). The initial inspection will be regarded as a mockup in order to get consultant and client approval of the actual scope of work.
Before pouring the screed, make sure the MEP (mechanical and electrical services, plumbing) approval has been secured.
Ready-mix Screed shall be delivered to the job site from an approved ready-mix factory in accordance with the approved mix design. (if the ready-mix screed is proposed to be used)
Ensure that all measuring equipment and a mechanical mixer are available to manage the mixing ratio and that a supervisor supervises the mixing operation according to the permitted mixing ratio. The concrete screed will be transported from the portable mixer to the casting area using wheelbarrows.
The screed should be poured straight from the mixer using its lever and tilting capabilities in large or open areas such as lobbies, retail areas, and parking lots. Using hand fork shovels and pavers, distribute the screed and push it towards the corners.

Curing
Wind, draughts, and direct sunlight should all be avoided. Right after laying down. Cover the finished screed with burlap and polythene sheet for at least 7 days to cure.
Handover and Cleaning
